Co-founder of the Bord Cadre Films production company, Laurent Nègre is a French & Swiss screenwriter & director born in 1973. He wrote and directed several shorts and two fiction feature films (Schenglet, Fragile, and Operation Casablanca). Laurent Nègre collaborates as editorialist with Swiss National Television. As Head of Development at Bord Cadre films, he analyses concepts and scripts, suggesting the ones suitable for development.
His work has been selected in international programs such as Torino Film Lab, EAVE, Atelier Grand Nord, Focal Transmedia, Dreamago, Coproduction Forum of Namur, Rome New Cinema Network, and Equinoxe.
JP Kalonji is a Comics Artist, Illustrator and Character designer, born in 1973. He’s been collaborating on different artistic levels with various notorious institutions and clients such has: London 2012 Olympics / ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) /Sony Records/Mc Laren Group – Formula One /Dark Horse comics/Pro Helvetia /Flik Flak Ltd. /Burton Uninc and many more. He published several original comics (Helvetika, 365 Samurais, and O’Malley) and prepares the 2013 release of a second US album with publisher Dark Horse Comics.

Biography of Ulrich Fischer. Born 1971 in Geneva.
Since the beginning of the 1990s, Ulrich Fischer has used various audio-visual media (film, video, installations, performances and new media) to explore urban life and identity through engagement. In 2000 he won 1st prize at the Ecole Supérieure d’Art Visuel de Geneve with the short film “La ville de S”, acquired by ARTE. His various works have been presented at international festivals, including Festival du film de Paris, Lodz Festival, Visions du Réel/Nyon, Léopards de Demain/Locarno, Premiers Plans/Angers, and Invex/Tokyo.
As founder of C-Side Productions he has a rich background in various aspects of the cinematographic production (both on the content and the form side). His other activities include expert work (from 2003 to 2008 he was member of the Migros commission for postproduction funding), teaching (at the ECAL, HEAD, Focal and diverse other organisations) and building up communities (diverse association as Zebra Lab, Cinema Spoutnik and housing communities).
In January 2008 he began the development of “Walking the Edit” within a research project of the Master Cinema at the ECAL. This project is now his main activity, next to Memoways, a company he founded in 2011 with the goal to support the technical developments necessary for the “Walking the Edit” project.
An Independent producer since 2003, Dan Wechsler holds a degree in business management from the School of Economics in Lausanne (Hautes Études Commerciales) and has worked as a manager for several companies including Swatchgroup, Christie’s Intl and Citibank. In 2003, he was admitted to the European Mega Media program and completed his studies at Eurimages under the auspices of the Council of Europe. He is a graduate from the European Media Business School (European Master in Audiovisual Management, 2003) and from the European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs program, 2007 (EAVE 2007). In 2004, he and his partner, Laurent Nègre, found the company Bord Cadre films Sàrl
He has produced and coproduced several shorts, and five feature films, including Aurora, by Cristi Puiu (Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2010), Pasos Dobles, by Isaki Lacuesta (winner of the San Sebastian Festival Great Prize in 2011), and Operation Casablanca.
Producer on the Move in Cannes 2011, Dan participated in events such as Toronto Producers Lab, Berlinale Coproduction market and European Audiovisual Entrepreneurship (EAVE) as well as the Producer Network in Cannes.
Bord Cadre films is a cinema production company, established in Geneva, Switzerland since 2004, specialized in the development and production of fiction films for cinema. The company was created by Dan Wechsler and Laurent Nègre aiming at the development, and production of an original cinema, focusing on the points of view of a new generation of Swiss and European cinema directors.
Since its creation, Bord Cadre films has initiated and maintained solid relationships with partners both in and out of Switzerland, which result in successful and critically acclaimed film projects as Los Pasos Dobles (Concha d’Oro – San Sebastian 2011) & Aurora (official selection at the Cannes Film Festival – Un Certain Regard 2010).
Bord Cadre films also produced Laurent Nègre’s second feature “Opération Casablanca” and his documentary “Renaissance” (in production). BCf is now developing five feature films, two of which are adapted from literature and three are original scripts.
